SEN Teaching Assistant
Remedy Education are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the special educational needs department as a Teaching Assistant in Witham The successful candidate will assist the class teacher in providing a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for our students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and interventions to students with special educational needs
- Assisting with individual and small group work, under the direction of the class teacher
- Helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
- Supporting students with physical and personal care needs, as required
- Assisting with record keeping and monitoring of students' progress
- Developing positive relationships with students, their families and other staff members
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience of working with children with special educational needs
- A passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their lives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the class teacher
- Patience and empathy
- A commitment to continuing professional development
- This is a full-time position 8:30am - 15:30 pm Monday - Friday.
