We are currently working with a SEN School in the Newton Abbot area, who are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in Primary or Secondary. You will be responsible for providing ongoing 1:1 support, as well as general and small group support, to help engage pupils within KS1, KS2 or KS3. The role is to start ASAP and will be a contracted opportunity, we also have short term, part time positions available with this school. The school is willing to take on a permanent basis if the desired Teaching Assistant impresses. Hours are 08:30 – 15:00 a day and pay is between £85 - £95 per day.

Ideally, the required Teaching Assistant will be enthusiastic, resilient and have experience with SEN or be a recent graduate who are looking to pursue a career in education/teaching.

• If you have a strong academic background, care background, have experience working as a teaching assistant, have experience working with disadvantaged or SEN children, this role could be for you.
• Graduates with school or child-based experience would be desirable however not essential. If you are looking to complete a PGCE or further your career into teaching, this would be a great opportunity for you.
