Job Title: Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher - Post 16-19 Class (Maternity Cover)

Location: Loughton, IG10

Are you an experienced and dedicated teacher passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs? We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified SEN Teacher to join our dynamic team at a specialist provision school catering to pupils aged 3-19 with severe and complex needs, including those within the autistic spectrum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post 16-19 Class: Lead and facilitate learning in a dedicated class catering to students aged 16-19 with SEN, autism, and complex needs.
  • Maternity Cover: Provide high-quality teaching during a maternity leave period, ensuring continuity and excellence in education for our students.
  • Curriculum Development: Tailor lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, working with P-levels and Key Stage 1 to ensure an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Individualized Learning Plans: Collaborate with the SEN team to develop and implement individualized education plans that address the unique needs of each student.

Requirements:

  • PGCE and QTS/QTLS: Hold a recognized teaching qualification such as a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) and possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
  • Experience: Demonstrate proven experience working with students who have severe SEN needs, particularly those with autism and complex needs.
  • Adaptability: Be adaptable and flexible, tailoring teaching methods to suit the individual learning styles of students within the class.
  • Commitment: Exhibit a strong commitment to the holistic development of students, fostering an environment where they can thrive and reach their full potential.
