Now Education are working on behalf of a secondary school in Greenwich, who are seeking an experienced teacher of Biology to join them from January 2024. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of students at the school, within a creative and supportive Science department. If you have a strong knowledge of the KS3 to KS5 Biology we would love to hear from you.

This secondary school is conveniently located in Greenwich, making it easily accessible for both teachers and students. General Science and Biology play a central role in the school’s curriculum, and their supported Science department provides a nurturing environment for students to explore their talents.

As a Teacher of Biology, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the school’s students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that align with the KS3 and KS4 Biology and General Science Curriculum.
  • Developing and implementing schemes of work and lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of the students.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborating with other members of the Science department to develop and enhance the Biology curriculum and resources.
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents, teachers and other school leaders whilst maintaining effective communication channels.

To be considered for this Biology Teacher role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in one of the core Science subjects (Chemistry, Physics, Biology)
  • Proven experience teaching Biology at KS3 to KS5 with a track record of achieving excellent results.
  • Experience Teaching your specialist Science (Biology) at KS5
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that enables all students to thrive.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
