Job Title: Inclusion Assistant

Location: Chingford, London

Hours: 32.5 hours per week x 44.86 weeks per year

Grade and Pay Range: Scale 3 (spinal points 5-6)

Responsible to: Inclusion Officer

Key Contacts: Internal – Staff/Pupils; External – Parents/Governors/External Agencies and Suppliers/Local Authority and Schools

About Us:

Remedy is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Inclusion Assistant to join our team in Chingford. As an Inclusion Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and maintenance of an effective Inclusion Unit and Day 6 provision, ensuring it aligns with the overall goals of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative Support:

    • Maintain administrative systems for the Inclusion Unit and Day 6 provision.
    • Handle tasks such as photocopying, filing, and maintaining computerized records.
  2. Attendance and Reporting:

    • Assist in maintaining attendance registers and other specific information.
    • Report attendance issues to the Attendance Officer in a timely manner.
  3. Communication and Liaison:

    • Liaise with departmental managers and other staff to ensure alignment between the school's curriculum and available resources.
    • Develop key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Day 6 Provision:

    • Act as the second point of contact for partner schools in the provision of Day 6.
    • Assist in managing external bookings and administrative arrangements for pupils.

Requirements:

  • Up-to-date Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
  • Commitment to compliance with all school policies, including health and safety regulations.
  • Participation in annual appraisals and continuing professional development opportunities.
