Qualified Nursery Practitioner Level 3 & 2 

Location: Sydenham SE26

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Salary: £23,000 – 34,000 per year (Depending on experience Level 3)

Salary: £21,000 – £22,800 per year (Level 2)

We are looking for a Level 3 & Level 2 qualified Nursery Practitioner to join an outstanding nursery located in Sydenham.

Main Duties:

• Plan, organize and execute a wide variety of activities for the children that are suitable to their individual stages of development
• Ensure that child records are accurate, well-written and up-to-date, including learning plans, reports, observations, accident/incident forms etc
• Build relationships and functioning partnerships with the parents
• Ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children regardless of any disabilities, family backgrounds or medical history
• Ensure the maintenance of adequate standards of cleanliness and hygiene for the children attending the nursery. This includes changing nappies and toilet training
• Assist with serving and washing up the children’s lunches & snacks

Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification recognised by the DfE for counting in the early years foundation stage framework staff:child ratios
• A clear understanding of how children develop
• A clear understanding of the ways children enjoy learning
• A good knowledge of the EYFS
• Reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible
• A can-do attitude
• Strong communicator with both children and adults
• Reports to the nursery manager, or in their absence the deputy manager or most senior practitioner on site
• Enhanced DBS background check & 2 references required before employment commences
