Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and providing a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow? We are seeking dedicated and caring Nursery Practitioners to join our vibrant and enthusiastic team in our Toddler and Baby rooms.

Based in the heart of Highbury just a 12-minute walk away from Highbury and Islington Train Station.

Responsibilities of a Nursery Practitioner

As a Nursery Practitioner you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education to children.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating and implementing engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times, maintaining a secure and nurturing environment.
  • Building strong relationships with children and their families, ensuring effective communication
  • Observing and recording children’s progress, identifying areas for development, and planning individual learning journeys.


To be successful in this Nursery Practitioner role you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Hold a relevant childcare qualification e.g. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare
  • Demonstrated passion for working with children and a genuine interest in their development and well-being
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Strong communication skills, both with children and parents and the ability to work effectively as part of a team


  • We operate above the legal ratios, meaning there are always more helping hands and better team support throughout the day
  • Working Hours options…5 day per week 40 hours contract with one morning and one afternoon off per week, OR an Optional 4-day week, 36 hour contract with additional 51 days off each year, in addition to full holiday package
