SEN Teaching Assistants are needed for immediate supply positions for a brand new SEN school we work with in the Morpeth area. We have positions in this school with children with ASD and SEMH. This is a specialist Outdoor Learning and Vocational centre for pupils initially of ages Primary, KS3 and KS4 and it will have up to 40 pupils. Class sizes are small with a Teacher and two TAs in every class.

The curriculum is class based learning in the morning on Maths and English then Outdoor Learning in the afternoon doing different trips. There will be Horticulture, Animal Care and a Farm.

Experience in supporting children with any of the above needs would be an advantage but is not essential - a willingness to learn and engage with SEN children is the most important quality we are looking for.  If you have experience as a support worker in a residential care environment we would be keen for you to apply.

Ideally you will hold a level  2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or above. Posts vary from short term to long term. If you have a passion for working with pupils who are full of energy and wish to be working in an outdoor learning and vocational school, then please apply.

• Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one
