Job Description: As a Business with Economics Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and inspiring lessons to students in Key Stage 3-5. You will be responsible for teaching both Business and Economics subjects, equipping students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel academically. The ideal candidate will hold a PGCE, possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching and learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver well-structured lessons in Business and Economics, tailored to meet the needs of students at different levels of attainment.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and student engagement.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Establish clear learning objectives and communicate them effectively to students, ensuring they understand the purpose and expectations of each lesson.
  • Foster a supportive and respectful classroom culture, promoting students' intellectual curiosity and independent thinking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum, ensuring alignment with the national standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and any concerns, ensuring compliance with school policies.

Requirements:

  • A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong subject knowledge in Business and Economics, with the ability to teach Key Stage 3-5.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering students' academic progress and personal development.
