It is vital you hold at least a grade C at GCSE English and Maths and are able to follow instruction, particularly as an integral part of your role will be to follow teachers lesson plans.
Whether you're looking for day-to-day supply or a long-term or permanent position it's important you fully understand and appreciate the work that it requires to teach a secondary school class, up to GCSE and perhaps even A-level and that your teaching and behaviour management skills compliment those of the classroom teacher.

Duties include:
** Delivering work to students to replace the absent teacher
** Managing behaviour ensuring students remain engaged
** Being proactive ensuring students remain engaged
** Working in line with the school's policies and procedures
** Being flexible working across many secondary schools in the county
