Role Purpose:

This role is a multifunctional support role within the Retail Enablement Team, working across Retail Channels (National Accounts) training requirements & access, Digital Training Capability (Retail Training Centre and Independent retailer) training access, and Training Events (internal and external training access). 

This role is offered on a fixed-term contract until February 2025. We offer hybrid working with the expectation that the successful candidate will be in our Watford HQ office twice a week.

The Team:

You will work as part of the Retail Training Team within the Retail Operations Team. This is within the Commercial Department and will report to the Senior Retail Enablement Manager.

Role Responsibilities:

Retail training Centre - Work with the Digital Literacy Training Manager and own the end to end processes and interventions required on the RTC including:

    • Manage manual password resets on the system and own direct retailer communication of new credentials
    • Manage reporting requests from Media, PR, GC working closely with SREM and Digital Literacy Training Manager to collate and find data
    • Manage internal user reporting, content distribution (in line with external content releases)


Retail Channels (National Accounts) - This part of the role will work as a conduit with the National Accounts team to ensure the team obtains and feeds in data about how their Accounts currently train their colleagues, training lead times, training cycles and preferred methods of delivery. You will act as an SME and advisor to the L4 Training, Engagement and wider Retail Teams on what training methods accounts do/don’t/can/can’t enable, to ensure proper and timely support by Account, and find solutions where this faces challenges.

You will work with the wider Retail Training Team to understand the training milestones and content they are creating, taking a deep interest in what/why/when and will ensure the National Account teams are clear on overall training milestones and requirements, supporting the cascade and agreement of the overall approach with Accounts.


You will include usual methods of TNL in store sales, operational, behavioural and legislative training required across Kiosk, in-lane, SCO and EMOP where appropriate in the Joint Training Plans. 

  • Create plans for:
    • New Store induction, materials and onboarding
    • Ways to play (inc. ‘how’ on Kiosk vs. SCO, EMOP etc.)

Whilst there may not be a direct content creation arm to this role, there will most certainly be creative opportunities, especially working with some Accounts agencies to co-brand (such as Rascal), or co-create where bespoke requirements are needed, if this is of interest.

Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working in, and/or a passion for, training creation and knowledge development.
  • Events experience, planning, logistics and coordination is an integral part of this role, so a good sense of planning, how/what is crucial.
  • This role would suit someone with retail, operations, coordination experience who is able to manage a high volume of detail and distil what is required, on time, everytime.
  • Project management, creative drive, innovation and a passion for ‘doing right’ are must haves – either explicitly or as personal competencies.
  • Experience working to an audited standard or with proven experience or examples of where working to the standards has been achieved is desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation and facilitation skills, conveying messages in a clear and concise way. Able to self-motivate and holds outputs to the highest of standards.

These checks include a DBS (an enhanced check, which shows convictions and conditional cautions), credit and social media checks. As part of our application process, you will be asked to identify in advance if you have spent or unspent convictions that we need to be aware of.

Should you not disclose convictions at the application stage, not pass the Fit & Proper Check process or not complete your Pre-Employment Screening then unfortunately you may not pass our probation process.
