Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging art lessons to students in line with the national curriculum
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can explore and express their creativity
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them develop their artistic skills and techniques
  • Plan and organize art projects and exhibitions within the school and local community
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art education into cross-curricular activities
  • Assess and evaluate students' work, providing meaningful feedback and tracking their progress
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their children's artistic development and achievements

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent Art teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching art to primary or secondary school students
  • A passion for art education and a deep understanding of the national curriculum
  • Strong artistic skills and techniques across a range of mediums
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in their artistic journey
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
