In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to deliver engaging, interactive and highly immersive Design and Technology (DT) lessons to both primary and secondary students.

As a DT teacher, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring and nurturing creativity, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills among your students. Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons to students.
  • Create a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Assess and provide feedback on student progress and performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement the DT curriculum.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure the safety of students during DT lessons.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
  • Relevant teaching experience in Design and Technology.
  • Passion for education and a creative approach to teaching DT.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a diverse classroom and cater to individual student needs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of current educational trends and practices in DT education.
  • Experience with relevant software and technology used in DT teaching.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with educational advancements.
