Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging drama lessons that align with the school's curriculum
  • Inspire and motivate students to explore their creativity and develop confidence in their performance abilities
  • Create and direct school productions, involving students in all aspects of the production process
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' performances and progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular projects and events
  • Stay up-to-date with current drama practices and methodologies through professional development opportunities

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching drama to students at the primary or secondary level
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative and innovative approach to teaching
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
  • Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain
