Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging drama lessons to primary and secondary school students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and confidence.
  • Organize and supervise rehearsals, ensuring students are prepared for performances and showcases.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate drama into cross-curricular activities.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest drama teaching methodologies and resources.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching drama to primary and/or secondary school students.
  • Strong knowledge of drama education curriculum and assessment techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative and adaptable teaching style, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and take initiative.
