Wayman Group is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Art teacher to join an excellent school in Barnet. This is a full-time position starting in April, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive school environment.

As an Art teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality art education to primary/secondary school students. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about art and education, and who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging art lessons that are tailored to the needs and abilities of individual students
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that allows students to develop their creativity and confidence
  • Assess and evaluate students' artwork and provide constructive feedback to support their progress and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate cross-curricular projects and activities
  • Stay up to date with current trends and developments in art education, and implement innovative teaching strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of students' progress and achievements
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on students' performance and wellbeing

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS), with a specialization in Art Education
  • Proven experience teaching art at primary/secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge in art and design, including a range of techniques and mediums
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for art education, with the ability to inspire a love of art in students
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan and deliver lessons effectively
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
