Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and imaginative Art lessons that cater to the needs of students at different academic levels
  • Nurture and develop students' artistic skills, creativity, and appreciation of art
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through various formative and summative assessments
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their artistic techniques and concepts
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement cross-curricular projects that integrate art into other subject areas
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing their creativity
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate regularly with parents regarding students' progress and achievements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching art to students in a primary or secondary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of various artistic techniques and mediums
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop their artistic abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with current trends and developments in art education
