Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver comprehensive drama lessons that align with the school curriculum
  • Facilitate the development of students' acting, improvisation, and performance skills
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment to encourage student engagement and participation
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement creative and interdisciplinary projects
  • Support and mentor students in their creative pursuits, providing guidance and feedback
  • Keep up-to-date with relevant drama pedagogy and industry practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
  • Proven experience teaching Drama at primary or secondary level
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in their creative expression
  • Organizational skills to effectively plan and manage lessons and resources
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment
