• Plan and deliver high-quality history lessons to students in accordance with the school curriculum
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources
• Communicate with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns
• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with educational trends
• Maintain accurate and organized records of student attendance, assessments, and other relevant data

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in History or a related field
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Proven experience teaching history to primary/secondary school students
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
• A passion for inspiring and motivating students
• Strong organizational and time management skills
