Position: Educational Psychologist
Location: Market Street, Bracknell, RG12 1JD
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 2+ months
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £445.16 Per Day

Job Responsibilities
Provide high-quality psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention services for children and young people in educational settings.
Work collaboratively with schools, families, and multi-agency professionals to support educational, emotional, and social development.
Undertake psychological assessments using a range of evidence-based tools and approaches.
Deliver advice and consultation to schools and other professionals to support inclusive education and improved outcomes.
Contribute to statutory assessments, including Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs).
Support the development and implementation of interventions and strategies for children with additional needs.
Provide written psychological reports that are clear, evidence-based, and compliant with statutory and professional standards.
Participate in case discussions, reviews, and multi-agency meetings.
Contribute to safeguarding processes where required, ensuring the welfare and protection of children and young people.
Promote inclusion and positive educational outcomes through consultation, training, and advisory work.
Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with professional and organisational requirements.
Ensure practice aligns with HCPC standards, ethical guidelines, and local authority policies.
Work flexibly across educational settings within Bracknell Forest as required.
Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice.
Person Specification
Essential
Qualification in Educational Psychology (Doctorate in Educational Psychology or equivalent recognised qualification).
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience working as an Educational Psychologist or in a closely related role.
Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and psychological assessment methods.
Experience working with children and young people in educational settings.
Ability to conduct psychological assessments and produce high-quality written reports.
Experience working collaboratively with schools, families, and multi-agency teams.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and commitment to child protection.
Strong communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.
Commitment to inclusive practice and improving outcomes for children with additional needs.
Enhanced DBS clearance including barred list checks (adults and children).
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable
Experience working within a local authority educational psychology service.
Experience supporting statutory EHCNAs and tribunal processes.
Experience delivering training to education staff or multi-agency partners.
Knowledge of systemic approaches to consultation and intervention.
