Catering to children aged 3 to 11, the academy is part of an all-through educational setting, allowing pupils to continue their education within the same institution up to the age of 18. Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support students' learning and development, ensuring that all pupils have access to a high-quality education.​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Support: Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives and support their academic progress.​

  • Classroom Assistance: Collaborate with teachers to prepare and maintain a conducive learning environment, including setting up resources and supporting classroom management.​

  • Special Educational Needs (SEN): Provide targeted support to students with special educational needs, implementing individualized strategies to facilitate their learning.​

  • Progress Monitoring: Observe and record students' performance, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to the assessment process.​

  • Inclusive Environment: Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom, encouraging student engagement and fostering a sense of belonging.​

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.​

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.​

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.​

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.​

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting students with special educational needs.​

  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development.​

  • Familiarity with the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.​
