About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the classroom, working alongside teachers to provide additional support to students. You will assist with learning activities, work with small groups or individual pupils, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in delivering well-structured and engaging lessons.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils who need extra help.
• Assist children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by adapting learning activities to their needs.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
• Prepare learning materials and set up classroom resources.
• Encourage pupils’ confidence and independence in their learning.
• Supervise children during break times, trips, and school activities.
• Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and engagement.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is beneficial.
• A patient, enthusiastic, and supportive approach to working with young learners.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Adaptability and a proactive attitude to assist with various classroom tasks.
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
