Position: Nursery Officer
Hours: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (1-hour lunch break)
Annual Leave: 4 flexible days
Reporting To: Nursery Co-ordinator (or Deputy Co-ordinator in their absence)

About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Nursery Officer to join a vibrant multicultural nursery setting. The ideal candidate will possess an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, along with at least one year of post-qualifying experience in a similar environment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years, while promoting their physical, intellectual, emotional, and cultural development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality childcare and education.
• Plan and implement activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Maintain a hygienic environment and attend to the personal care needs of children.
• Collaborate with parents and outside agencies to support child development.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years or Childcare.
• Experience in a multicultural nursery.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to equal opportunities.

Skills:

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
