Headteacher – SEMH School

Location: Newbury 
Salary: Up to £90,000 per annum

An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Headteacher to lead a specialist school catering for children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

We are looking for an inspirational leader with a strong track record in SEND/SEMH education who can drive strategic growth, improve outcomes, and foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have the vision, resilience, and expertise to lead a dedicated team and ensure the continued success of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership and strategic direction
  • Drive high standards of education and pastoral care
  • Inspire and develop staff to achieve their full potential
  • Ensure the school remains a supportive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all students

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Headteacher or senior leader in a SEND/SEMH setting
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Passion for improving the lives of young people with additional needs
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with key stakeholders
