A fantastic SEN school in Hillingdon is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team, working with a KS3 class of pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). This is a full-time, long-term position with competitive pay to scale.

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of KS3 pupils with MLD.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and specialists to provide individualised support for pupils.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure holistic development.
  • Monitor progress and contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

The ideal SEN Teacher will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching pupils with MLD or other special educational needs.
  • Be patient, empathetic, and skilled at adapting teaching methods to suit diverse needs.
  • Possess strong classroom management skills and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to professional development and teamwork.
