Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons that meet the needs of all students, in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment where students can develop a passion for scientific inquiry.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing feedback to help them reach their full potential.
  • Support the development of practical skills through hands-on experiments and projects.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the department’s resources and initiatives.
  • Participate in school-wide activities, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Science with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching science at KS3/4 is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent subject knowledge across the key scientific disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
  • A passion for inspiring young people and helping them reach their academic and personal potential.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
