About the role: Year 6 Teacher: We are looking for an enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to inspire and guide our students in their final year of primary school. This is a fantastic long-term, full-time position with immediate start available. You’ll be teaching four Year 6 classes with a focus on developing students' reading and writing skills, preparing them for the academic challenges of secondary school. This position does not require lesson planning, so you can focus fully on delivering engaging and effective lessons, helping students build confidence in their reading and writing skills.

Key Focus Areas:

• Reading and Writing Skills: You'll be pivotal in helping students master key literacy skills, especially reading comprehension and writing proficiency, essential for their educational journey.
• Classroom Management: Strong classroom management skills are essential, ensuring that learning takes place in a supportive and engaging environment.
• English Specialisation: An English specialist or a secondary teacher with experience in English will find this role particularly fulfilling.
• TA Support: You’ll have dedicated teaching assistant support, allowing you to focus on quality teaching and tailored interventions.

Application Requirements: 

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or equivalent.
• Proven Experience in teaching Key Stage 2, ideally with Year 6 experience or expertise in English and literacy development.
• Strong Classroom Management and the ability to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Excellent Communication Skills to engage both students and parents effectively.


 Key Responsibilities: 

• Deliver engaging English and literacy lessons to four Year 6 classes.
• Implement school-wide academic goals and assessment strategies.
• Foster a supportive, focused, and respectful classroom environment.
• Monitor and support student progress, particularly in literacy skills.
• Collaborate with the teaching assistant and other Year 6 teachers for consistency in student learning.
