SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking 5 Teaching Assistants to work within a SEN School based in Litherland. The right Teaching Assistants will be able to work from 8:30-15:30 and have experience supporting pupils with Special Needs & Disabilities. A Teaching Assistant qualification would be beneficial and experience working as a Teaching Assistant would also be beneficial.
The School is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support young people aged 11 – 19 years, with a diagnosis of autism. Pupils usually join us in Y7 from mainstream primary schools and in-year from local high schools.
We are looking for individuals who have a passion for working with children and young people with disabilities and are committed to ensuring everyone achieves success in their academic, social and independent skills. Please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification for further details.
Due to the School’s continued success and increase of pupils on roll, the Governors are seeking to appoint Teaching Assistants to support young persons with autism, who require additional support to engage in a learning environment.
