Please note that this role is advertised on a part time basis of 16 hours (2 days) per week, salary shown is actual salary dependant on experience and qualifications.
About the role:
As an Occupational Therapist at Arc School Napton, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will provide a high quality standard of occupational therapy assessment, management, treatment and advice for a caseload of children aged 5 to 11 with a wide range of emotional, social and mental health difficulties, plan, deliver and evaluate therapy treatment programmes as agreed in the child’s EHCP, work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team and multi-agency teams involved with children and their families, contributing to team meetings, consultations, joint assessments, reviews and staff training.
About you:
For this role, we are looking for someone who has a Dip COT, BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy together with HCPC and BAOT registration and previous experience of working in a special school setting or in a CAMHS service. The focus of this position will be on assessment, diagnosis and implementing strategy to improve educational outcomes in school. There will be a significant focus on working with staff and offering training in schools to create a therapeutic ethos across the whole curriculum that will benefit all of the children. About us:
Arc School Napton, part of Kedleston Group, is an independent specialist primary school in Napton, for children and young people aged between the ages of 5 and 11. We provide a safe learning environment for children and young people with educational and social needs which are associated with the challenges of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), attachment disorder (AD), autism (ASC), dyslexia and dyspraxia. Some children have social emotional and mental health needs. (SEMH).
