Progress Teachers are working closely with a Melton Mowbray School to appoint a dynamic and adaptable Humanities Teacher.  The successful candidate will teach sessions across KS3 & KS4, with a particular focus on Geography.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Design and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons to students across KS3 & KS4.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and critical thinking.
  • Develop and implement creative and innovative teaching strategies to make the subject matter relevant and interesting for students.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance, providing timely constructive feedback to support their academic progress.
  • Participate in school events, parent evenings, and professional development activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in History, Geography, Sociology, or a related humanities field (PGCE or QTS preferred)
  • Proven experience teaching humanities subjects at the secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for inspiring students to explore the complexities of human society
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom
  • Dedication to continuous professional development and improvement in teaching practice
