Empowering Learning are recruiting a Level 2 Teaching Assistant on behalf of an Manchester based secondary school for a- full academic year from September 2022 to July 2023. Interviews are as soon as this week and are comprised of a session meeting the students followed by formal interview.

The school are looking for a dedicated and passionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our Learning Support Team.
There would be the opportunity to gain your Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification with the Academy.
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant you will supervise individuals and groups of children in order to accelerate their progress and learning, working in close liaison with teaching staff and leaders to ensure students catch-up with their learning (enabling them to do well and access the full curriculum).
You will also work with the Director of Special Educational Needs and Learning Support to assist with the planning and delivery of the Key Skills and Catch-Up group work-shops and support teachers to ensure such students develop good and great attitudes to learning.
The school has a strong focus on supporting those from disadvantaged backgrounds, with almost 1 in 3 receiving free school meals. For this Level 2 Teaching Assistant role it is imperative that you meet the schools values of inclusivity and removing barriers to learning.

A DBS on the update service
Level 2 TA Qualification or relevant experience of at least 6 months working with young people in a school or residential setting
A passion for supporting young people
An understanding of the needs of young people
