A popular primary school in Stechford, Birmingham are recruiting for a part time reception class teacher to join their team in the New Year. The position will be working on a temporary 0.6 contract from January 2020 until February half term and full planning will be provided.

The candidate:

-        Must hold valid QTS

-        Have excellent interpersonal and team player skills

-        Demonstrate up to date knowledge of the Early Years curriculum

-        Understand the importance of learning life skills from an early age

-        Work well as part of a team with good communication skills

-        Be consistent in maintaining high standards

-        Act as a positive role model to all

The school itself was most recently recognised as ‘good’ by Ofsted and is quickly building on becoming an outstanding school in the future.

Requirements

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. All staff must hold an enhanced DBS disclosure which must also be registered to the Update Service (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you), need to provide professional or academic references and attend a face to face interview. A prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and recent, referenceable school-based experience (within the last 5 years).
