Secondary Learning Support Assistant - Greenwich

Empowering Learning are currently recruiting for a Secondary Learning Support Assistant to work in a Secondary SEND School based in Greenwich. We are looking for a dynamic and adaptable Learning Support Assistant, that will be able to support pupils with PMLD, SEMH and ASC. Some of the pupils you will be supporting various special needs, so experience of supporting different needs would be desirable.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils within Secondary Education
  • 1:1 Support to pupils with PMLD, SEMH, and ASC
  • Supervising children behaviour
  • Encourage and support the pupils learning
  • Helping the teacher prepare for lessons and plan activities

Job Requirements

  • Experience of working as a Learning Support Assistant/Classroom Assistant
  • Experience supporting children with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Available 5 days a week
  • Able to commit to 3-6 months
