Are you looking for a new SEN Teaching Assistant role around Dover?
Due to an increase in student numbers, we are looking for a self-motivated and inspiring SEN Teaching Assistant for our client in the Dover area. The role will be to provide support, either individually or in a small group. This post is full-time SEN Teaching Assistant job, term time only.
As the successful SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be resilient, nurturing and reflective. Ideally, we are looking for experience of working in a school environment along with knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by young people with SEMH/Behavioural needs and other SEN needs. However, experience in other child-based settings will also be considered with a background of working with children with emotional and behavioural needs.
This specialist school, based in the Dover area, provides education to children and young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH), autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and moderate learning difficulties. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supported by an experienced team. Regular team meetings provide support to all staff. Ofsted has highlighted “The school is a caring and supportive community. Pupil's personal development and well-being is good. Pupils often re-engage in their education. Parents and pupils say that this is due to the dedication of staff”.
