Preschool Teacher Required in a fantastic setting in Bristol
Your new nursery
You will be working for a well-known private day nursery in Bristol that has been providing excellent early years education and care for nearly 18 years. The nursery prides itself on its commitment to safeguarding children, continuous training to their staff and the quality of education provided to children aged 3 months to 5 years. The nursery has outdoor facilities which encourages children’s curiosity and imagination. The preschool room consists of two classrooms where the children can enjoy free flow to encourage all learning opportunities. There isn’t any onsite parking however there is public transport surrounding the setting.
Your new role
Your role as a preschool practitioner/teacher will be to directly contribute to the smooth running of the 2-5 provision and the maintenance of a safe and stimulating environment. Your key responsibilities will be to deliver the early years foundation stage efficiently, taking an active role in safeguarding children, planning and leading a range of learning experiences, which meet the emotional, physical, social and intellectual needs of the children and to be a role model practitioner. You will have your own key children which you will carry out planning and observations for as well as reporting back to parents.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be degree qualified in Early Years of Childhood Studies and/or have a QTS. Or be qualified to a level 3 with an extensive knowledge and background in providing early years education. The minimum expectation is to have at least two years working in a similar environment and ideally with preschool aged children. You must have a confident knowledge of safeguarding procedures, work well in a team and be approachable and passionate about early years care.
