Behaviour support worker needed ASAP in Leeds

We are recruiting for a Special school for pupils aged between 6-11 years with an Education, Health and Care Plan for Severe Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH). SEN statements for EBD, ASD or MLD.

Behaviour Support Worker role:

Deliver pastoral support to pupils throughout the school on a one-to-one and group basis

Work independently alongside other specialist support staff to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment

Liaise with teaching staff, the school SENCO and the pupils' parents to ensure open and effective communication regarding the welfare and progress of key children

Behaviour Support Worker requirements:

Preferably a child care / education related qualification - e.g. NVQ / CACHE Level 2, 3

Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred

Experience working with children in an educational setting

Experience providing behavioural / pastoral support

Excellent understanding of SEN

Team Teach trained and up to date qualification
