SEN Vocational Tutor
Job type - Part time permanent
Salary - Up to £36,144 pro rata

Nacro is looking for an outstanding experienced and enthusiastic qualified teacher with experience of working with young people at KS3/4 in a SEN and/or SEMH setting
At the Wells Unit we provide specialist education in a medium secure unit supporting up to 10 young people who have been admitted for the assessment and/or treatment of their metal health.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Plan, prepare and deliver 1:1 and small group lessons in accordance with student's individual needs using creative tailored teaching activities;
assess and monitor pupils' work and feedback to learners, parents, the multi-disciplinary team and external agencies;
Organise your classroom, resources and displays to provide a stimulating learning environment for students
report and assess learner behaviour;
record learners’ progress and provide grades and written feedback;
deliver tailored teaching activities to pupils on a one-to-one basis;
make sure that the learners you support are able to engage in learning at an appropriate level and stay on task during the lesson or activity;
support and assess the personal, social and emotional development of learners, reporting any issues as necessary
Safeguard all learners and ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times

Please note a DBS & Secure Training Centre Vetting will be required including 5 years reference history.
