Toddler Room Nursery Practitioner- BS15
Your new nursery
You will be working in a small nursery that has been running for over 20 years. This well-established setting works across 2 floors and cares for up to 50 children from 3 months to 5 years old. The nursery has the babies on the ground floor, and the toddlers and preschool children on the second floor.
This setting has extensive outdoor space for children to have PE and outdoor activities. The nursery has a large emphasis on creativity, encouraging their staff to express their ideas. Most of the staff at the nursery have been there for over 5 years and are all too happy to help you settle into your new job. The nursery is located in Bristol and has an onsite car park.
Your new role
As a nursery practitioner you will have your own key children in which you will carry out planning, preparation and observations for. You will be inventive in your approach, keeping children engaged. You will have good communication skills, reporting back to parents and the room leader. You are encouraged to express your ideas and support the curriculum lead with their job.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be level 2 or 3 qualified with experience within a nursery setting. You will need to have a passion for working with children and have an extensive knowledge of the EYFS curriculum. To succeed you will need to be inquisitive and creative in your approach, embracing all opportunities. You must be able to work well in a team, supporting staff with their roles.
