Children tend to come into0 the school well below national average, but make superb progress by the end of Year 2.
This is a part time role, likely to be on a Monday and Tuesday, although there could be some flexibility.
You will be working closely with the experienced Nursery teacher who is also the Early Years Foundation Stage leader.
She also works on a part time basis and whilst your paths will rarely cross in school, there will be lots of contact by email etc.
You will also be working with established Nursery Officers, some of whom have been at the school for a number of years.
The school are seeking a dynamic, passionate Early Years specialist, with experience in a school setting. You will need to have an excellent understanding and working knowledge of phonics and of the EYFS curriculum. A working understanding of record systems(ie Tapestry) would be welcome.
You should have outstanding organisational skills, both for the curriculum planning, but also to ensure that staff under your guidance are used effectively.
A good communicator is required, with an excellent sense of humour.
