SEN Teaching Assistant

A Primary School based in Kings Norton are currently seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 3 pupil. It is a nurturing school where they hope to give the children the best possible start in their education and create an inclusive and stimulating environment.
Your new role
You will be supporting the Year 3 pupil 1:1 predominately out of the classroom providing learning support within English and Maths and managing challenging behaviour. You will be working closely with the class teacher in lesson planning and preparation and feeding back on pupil development.
Your main responsibility is to ensure that the child you support maximise their learning potential and work towards positive outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience working with children and young people in an educational setting with a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification. It is imperative that you can demonstrate positive outcomes when working with primary pupils.
You should have previous experience of working with children with challenging behaviour and you should have a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum. You will also need to be competent within Maths & English and have a minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in both subjects.
You will be an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant that can engage and build positive relationships with students and inspire them to get the most out of their education.
