You will be working through Hays Education's Stoke team who have been established for over 20 years; covering Staffordshire, Stoke on Trent, Shropshire and Telford.

There is currently a high demand for day to day supply teachers and cover supervisors in the Staffordshire, Stoke on Trent, Shropshire and Telford areas, covering short/long term absence in secondary schools.
Your new role
Your role will be short/ or long term cover assignments in secondary schools, on a day to day, week to week or long term basis. Advanced cover options are available as well as assignments that are called in on the morning. You will cover a range of subjects or your specialist subject across KS3/4/5, where the work will be set and given to you on arrival at the school or in the case of long term work you will be expected to plan and prepare lessons.
General working hours will be from 08.30 to 15.30, although this does vary in each school.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need a minimum of 40 days experience working with groups of children, in any capacity over the last 2 years to meet the minimum compliance standards. Experienced teachers, FE qualified, cover supervisors, coaching or mentoring experience is accepted. You must have a driven attitude to help students achieve their best in the absence of their current teacher. You will need to have good classroom and behaviour management skills and be flexible with travel within all of Manchester.
