Do you have the knowledge and expertise in automotive sales or service to train the next generation of automotive professionals?
Learning Skills Partnership is looking to take on an Automotive Tutor to help us deliver inspiring and engaging teaching to our apprentices working in dealerships across the country. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone working in the industry to take a change of direction and qualify as a tutor within the industry.
LSP is excited to be taking part in the Taking Teaching Further initiative which is designed to attract industry professionals with expert technical knowledge and skills, to work within the further education sector. We are delighted to have secured funding which will allow us to take a trainee teacher through a L5 teaching qualification as well as provide thorough on the job training through a mentoring system with our current teaching staff and industry partners.
By taking someone from industry we aim to take the lead in delivering a more collaborative approach to training apprentices in the field; enhancing the content and quality of our teaching sessions by providing the most up to date knowledge and technical expertise and embedding that within our curriculum.
This opportunity would suit someone who is currently or has recently been, employed as a Sales Executive, Parts Advisor or maybe a Aftersales Advisor and who is looking for a fresh opportunity. We need individuals who are passionate about teaching the next generation and helping us play our part in solving the skills shortage within the industry. As we are a national training provider we would welcome applications from individuals anywhere within England.
This is a great opportunity to gain a nationally recognised teaching qualification whilst also earning a salary as a trainee tutor, working for a Grade 2 Ofsted training provider and alongside industry leading clients such as Pentagon, Parts Alliance and Europcar.
You will need to;
- have 3 years minimum experience in your area of vocation
- still be employed in that same industry or, have worked in that industry within the past 18 months
- not hold any substantive teaching qualification (i.e Level 5 or higher)
Learning Skills Partnership formed around 7 years ago and we’ve come a long way in that time. We currently have around 40 staff, including 15 office based staff working out of our office next the Humber in Hessle.
