ASD Teaching Assistant - Primary TA
£60-75 per day
PK Education’s Manchester branch are working with a Primary school in the Trafford area in order to recruit positive and pro-active SEN Teaching Assistants.
This relatively new primary school in Trafford caters for around 300 pupils aged 3 to 11 and received ‘good’ in their most recent Ofsted inspection. This full time role is to start as soon as possible up until summer and is the perfect opportunity for a committed and caring TA looking for a new challenge within a close team environment. The successful Teaching Assistant will be required to work within a special class for SEN children, supporting a reception pupil with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a one to one basis across a range of lessons and activities. You will work closely with the class teacher in order to maintain a positive and safe learning environment for all young people.
To be considered for the SEN Teaching Assistant role you must have:
A qualification in education or child care.
Experience supporting young people with a range of SEN, specifically ASD.
Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
Knowledge across the Primary curriculum.
Excellent behaviour management with a calm approach.
A passion for helping young people to achieve success.
Reference details will be requested prior to registration.
Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
