£105 - £138 per day
An experienced Teacher of Mathematics is required for this dedicated Alternative Provision based in Nottingham.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with SEN students and understand the challenges of working with disengaged young adults. The role will require you working 1:1 or in small groups with students that have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. Using a firm but empathetic approach you will revitalise their interest in the subject and work with them towards achieving a qualification.
The position is ongoing and is available 5 days per week for the right candidate.
Our client offers a full support programme to all staff and can help with providing lesson content for additional subjects if required. You will be expected to plan and prepare daily, along with adhering to a strict marking and feedback session weekly to the Provisions SLT.
To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience of teaching students with challenging behaviour/needs
- Have a passion for planning and delivering inspirational lessons that keeps the student engaged.
- Happy to work out in the community.
