Behaviour Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel is looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to work within one of our SEN schools in the Plymouth area.

The role will be full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, term time only, starting from September 2024 to the end of the academic year. This is a perfect opportunity to gain valuable experience within an education-based setting, working with children who have social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

Pay: Between £85 - £90 dependent on experience

Key responsibilities:

  • Support children’s classroom learning and activities and promote inclusion throughout the school
  • Establish positive relationships with pupils, working with them on an individual or classroom needs basis
  • Support pupils in both an academic and social capacity
  • Ensure the needs of pupils' EHCPs are met

Desirable skills:

  • Confidence dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Previous experience working with children
  • Positive & motivating attitude
  • A good level of Maths and English
  • Full UK Driving Licence
