Are you a certified educator with practical experience in either KS3, KS4?

Do you have a legitimate love for education and a commitment to supporting the academic and personal development of pupils?

Can you explain complex concepts clearly, and foster positive relationships with pupils?

A couple of schools in Wigan are looking for English teachers to join their wonderful team to effectively educate and support pupils in their learning journey. You must be able to create a safe, inclusive, and orderly learning environment where all pupils can thrive.

As a teacher you play a vital role in supporting social, emotional, and personal development, building trust and rapport with pupils and addressing their individual needs, managing student behaviour, enforcing classroom rules, and promoting respect, cooperation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Organise classroom lectures and coursework.
  • Prepare materials and activities.
  • Assign homework and interesting exercises.
  • Determine exam and assignment grades.
  • Provide feedback based on workload and classroom behaviour.
  • Keep a record of pupil's attendance and grades.
  • Manage classroom crises and resolve conflict.
  • Inform parents about their pupil's performance.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and administrators to foster a good student experience.

Preferred skills:

  • Clear communication is essential for interacting with pupils, teachers etc
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Being able to troubleshoot issues that arise in the classroom.
  • Creatively engaging activities and materials to support pupil learning.

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one ( we can help with this ) .
  • Good knowledge of the UK national curriculum.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
