Dunbar Education is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate and ambitious Trainee Teacher who is due to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) this summer. We are working with a supportive and welcoming primary school located in Milton Keynes.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Teacher who is eager to embark on their teaching career and make a positive impact on the lives of young learners. This role offers the opportunity to gain invaluable experience and support as you transition from trainee to fully qualified teacher, working alongside experienced educators and receiving guidance and mentorship every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with experienced teachers to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
  • Support the class teacher in assessing pupil progress, providing feedback, and adapting teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Develop positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and respected.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies, promoting positive behaviour and addressing any issues in a proactive and constructive manner.
  • Engage in continuous professional development opportunities, including training sessions, workshops, and observations, to enhance your teaching skills and subject knowledge.
  • Embrace the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility within the school, including leading small group activities, assisting with extra-curricular activities, and participating in school events and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Due to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by the summer and eager to begin your first teaching post in September.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Adaptability, resilience, and a willingness to learn and develop as a teacher, embracing feedback and seeking opportunities for growth.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a desire to contribute to the wider school community and collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
