The School of Commercial Industries and Access at Kingston College are seeking a Team Leader – someone to be responsible for curriculum standards and outcomes for programmes specifically in the Health & Active Living section. The teaching commitment will be in the curriculum area of FE Health & Social Care, Sport or Public Services/Policing.

You will ensure that current and future students receive a first-class experience that enables them to progress and attain their qualifications at high levels and develop long-lasting learning and employability skills. You will ensure that programmes meet the needs, standards and requirements of all partners, including, for example, awarding bodies, employers and higher education institutions. This includes the writing and monitoring of self-assessment documentation and the coordination and attendance of self-assessment and validation meetings.

As a Team Leader, we ask that you hold a degree or relevant professional qualifications in Health & Social Care, Sport or Public Services/Policing and have excellent teaching skills in one of these areas, recognised as a good or better teacher. Hardworking and flexible, you will have experience of leading/managing FE & HE programmes and have a strong vision for the improvement and development of the curriculum area.

We would like you to have current knowledge of impending curriculum changes (HE & FE) and the implications for teaching and learning strategies. You should have a thorough understanding of quality assurance and improvement processes and how these can be used to enhance the student experience. Experience of managing, supporting and developing staff is desirable, but not essential.
