Or are you soon to become an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is looking to gain more hands on experience in a variety of secondary schools before gaining a permanent role?

Academics are currently looking for enthusiastic Humanities Teachers for flexible supply opportunities within their partnership secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

We are welcoming applications from Humanities Teachers with specialisms in History, Geography, Religious Studies and Citizenship/PSHE.

Whether it is a long term contract or more flexible day-to-day cover; we focus the job search around you and look to provide you with the type of work you are looking for. Our supply opportunities are great as they allow our teachers to be flexible with the days that they wish to work. These roles can be ideal for our Early Career Teachers as they could potentially lead to more long-term and permanent roles in some of our schools.

Humanities Teachers who apply must:

  • Hold the relevant Humanities qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BSC Hons) with UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS/QTLS).
  • Be able to deliver exciting and engaging Humanities lessons using your own creativity and initiative.
  • Be a confident motivator in the classroom, and can build excellent rapport with students and staff.
  • Have excellent practical knowledge of the national curriculum and to have a proven track record of working with students in both KS3 & KS4.
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or to be prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS with ourselves (cost applied).

Please be aware for our long-term opportunities you will be paid according to your teacher pay grade.
