We are currently recruiting for a national, award winning training provider that helps individuals attain the qualifications necessary to pursue their goals and ambitions. They are looking for qualified and experienced Residential Childcare Apprenticeship Trainers to join their team of experts and continue delivering quality programmes.

The ideal candidate should have experience working in a residential childcare setting working with ages groups of 5 to 18 year old's as well as hold a teaching or assessing qualification. This will be a full time permanent role, working on a hybrid model with a caseload of up to 50 learners based in Oxfordshire therefore must be willing to travel to complete observations. 

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging learning sessions to Residential Childcare learners either 1 to 1 or in group sessions.
• Confidently manage a caseload of up to 50 learners on programme ensuring they are learning key skills, knowledge, completely off the job training, assignments, etc.
• Undergoing observations in the workplace.
• Monitor the progress of the learners regularly and ensure that they will attend all sessions.
• Provide appropriate assessments and reviews to the learners that are based on the standards and support them achieve level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English.
• Maximise learners’ full potential by supporting their development, adhering to the proper guidelines, and motivating them to overcome barriers.
• Build strong relationships with clients and other teams to have excellent delivery results

Experience and Skills

• An Assessing qualification such as A1, CAVA, TAQA or equivalent
• OR a teaching qualification such as PTLLS, CTLLS, AET or equivalent
• Experience working in Residential Childcare working with children and young people from age 5 to 18.
• GCSE in Maths and English at level C or a level 2 Functional skills
• Excellent communication skills and confident using LMS or CRM systems
